The purpose of this study is to investigate information seeking habits among young persons with mild mental disability. We wanted to know how they seek information in everyday life, barriers they experience when seeking information and also if they consider the library to be a source of information.The theoretical background of this study is based on the works of T. d. wilson and Michael Buckland. Wilson?s model of information seeking behavior and seeking information was used as a tool analyzing the results from the interviews.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att klargöra företaget Wilson Productions grundläggande kärnvärde, fördelar och styrkor föratt lättare kunna beskriva och formulera vilka tjänster som företaget kan erbjuda marknaden. Vi ska utforma verktyg för en samlad företagsidentitet som fungerar både utåt mot marknaden och inom organisationen. Dessutom kommer vi att undersöka Wilson Productions entreprenöriella motiv och tankar kring verksamheten, för att kunna se var företaget är på väg idag.Detta är ett kvalitativt arbete med en deduktiv ansats och uppdraget gick ut på att hjälpa ett specifikt företag. Vi har arbetat utifrån ett enskilt fall och nyttjade till största del redan befintliga teorier och modeller, som vi applicerade på den aktuella företagsverksamheten. Vi har använt systemsynsättet eftersom vi avser att konstruera ett helhetskoncept till Wilson Productions.

Fokus har också legat på att ge läsaren en tydlig bakgrund i hur synen på mannen förändrats, hur vänskap mellan män sett ut historiskt och förändrats över tid samt vilka mekanismer som legat till grund för dynamiker inom manlig vänskap. Materialet har analyserats utifrån en metod som är framtagen för just TV-program, ?How to Study Television? men jag har skapat en specifikt anpassad metod utifrån detta som fokuserar på narrativet.

This Master thesis is about elderly visually impaired and their use of libraries. It poses the question how visually impaired elderly looks upon their local library. Their thoughts and opinions are mainly from two sides. One is what they think about the service that they get. The other is what they think about the information concerning this service.

The purpose of this study is to examine the information seeking behaviour among unestablished archaeologists. Special attention has been directed to the areas of informal communication and the development of personal networks. As a former archaeology student I have been able to apply my previously acquired knowledge when writing this thesis. The empirical study is based on nine interviews with archaeologists each with more than one and less than four years of professional experience. They all have various experience of working as a fieldarchaeologist and five have simultaneously worked as university researchers.

This bachelor's thesis is an investigation into the public libraries'actions following the debate of Stina Wirséns character LillaHjärtat, featured in picture books and films for young children.The character was accused of being racist, due to its similarity tostereotypes such as pickaninnies. Because of this, the books'existence in public libraries was questioned.The purpose of this study is to investigate how librarians havedealt with these books, and what they have based their decisionson. To explore the background of these decisions we have usedPatrick Wilson's theory of cognitive authority (1983). We haveexamined which cognitive authorities have been used in thedecision-making process of how to handle the books containingLilla Hjärtat, and why these cognitive authorities have beenchosen. The method used in the study is qualitative interviewswith seven librarians working in public libraries throughoutSweden.The results of the interviews show that the librarians? mostprominent cognitive authorities have been authors and illustratorsof children's books.

This paper is the result of a case study conducted at Uppåkra Mekaniska AB during the spring of 2006. The task that was presented by Uppåkra was to develop a basis for a decision for the planning activities at the company, so that in the future they can create lot-sizes which are based upon a total cost perspective. Total cost in regards to lot-sizing is defined as the sum of the administrative reordering costs and warehousing cost per stock keeping unit.To collect data a series of interviews and observations were conducted. This data was then used during the lot-sizing simulation and analysis. The 15 units that the simulation was conducted on were grouped into three item classes depending how many different machine setups they required during the production process.

The aim of this thesis is to examine information behavioursamongst a group of social anthropologists. Syftet med min studie har varit att se i vilken mån och utsträckning Livets Ord och pingströrelsen överensstämmer med de kännetecken som kan liknas vid uppställda sektkaraktärer. Som teori har jag använt sociologen Bryan Wilsons beskrivning av religiösa sekter. Med utgångspunkt i de intervjuer jag gjort, rörelsernas hemsidor och genom att delta på ett av mötena hämtade jag material till min C-uppsats.Resultatet visar på att det finns drag av de kriterier Wilson uppställt, men inte i alla av de intervjuades församlingar. När det gäller det kriterier om uppställda krav eller prov för medlemskap, fann jag stor likhet i en av rörelserna. Alla församlingarna har frivilligt medlemskap men skiljer sig ifråga om huruvida rörelsen avvisar sökande.

My aim for this essay is to investigate if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a religious sect, on the basis of literature and information about the Mormons organisation and their religious standpoints. My conclusion is that Mormon Church is a religious sect. Their organisation has several sect characteristics according to sect definitions; see for example Göran Gustafsson (2000), Mikael Rothstein (1997) and Bryan R. Wilson (1970). Other researchers in religious studies think that the Mormon Church is not a sect but a cult.
